Mecalac and BayWa enter into a partnership for machine distribution in Germany
Mecalac, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of compact construction equipment for urban environments, announces a distribution agreement with BayWa AG, a leading German energy, agriculture and construction company.
Munich, February 19, 2024 - The agreement covers the exclusive distribution of Mecalac excavators and loaders in the German regions of Bavaria, Saxony and Württemberg to agricultural, forestry and municipal customers. For other sectors, such as construction, Mecalac's current partners will continue to distribute these products.
The demand for compact equipment is increasing, especially for specific jobsites. Many farmers are acquiring machines adapted to agricultural and forestry applications, whether for digging ditches or shredding. Municipalities are also expanding their machine fleets accordingly. Wheel excavators, for example, are used for pipeline construction and tree pruning.
"The versatility and innovative nature of Mecalac's products are the perfect complement to BayWa's rather large catalog, and will open up even more collaboration opportunities for our company's customers,", says Markus Leinfelder, Head of Product Management for New Machines at BayWa.

Greater visibility thanks to BayWa distribution network

The partnership between Mecalac and BayWa includes both sales and after-sales service, and has been effective since January 2024.
